Reports

Our evidence-based reports and briefs share key findings, practical recommendations and emerging priorities to help support evidence‑informed action.

The Collaborative on Extreme Heat Events synthesized the robust interdisciplinary discussions and wide range of recommendations from its spring 2024 workshop into a Practice and Research Agenda, which is available for download.

Developed through small-group discussions, the agenda reflects both short- and long-term ideas for preparing for and responding to extreme heat events at the regional level. The report organizes these action, policy and research opportunities across seven key areas: infrastructure, funding, collaboration, communications, workforce capacity, preparedness and response planning, and heat risks and health impacts. Across all themes, participants emphasized the critical role of political will and the importance of prioritizing solutions that offer co-benefits for communities, health and sustainability.

A brief overview of key highlights is also available in an accompanying recording.
