September is Preparedness Month. As part of the month’s activities, the Northwest Center for Evidence-Based Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (NWPHEPR) – which is housed in the Center for Disaster Resilient Communities – will be holding a two-day in-person conference on the University of Washington’s Seattle Campus.
The NWPHEPR regional conference will feature speakers and sessions based on regional public health preparedness topics, including workforce and communications. Conference participants will have opportunities to share and learn from peers across the region through oral and poster presentation sessions. Participants will also have an opportunity to inform the regional center’s future work through an interactive workshop.
When: September 9-10, 2025
Where: Hans Rosling Center, University of Washington, 3980 15th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105, Seattle, WA
We encourage individuals whose work supports public health emergency preparedness and response in Region 10 (AK, ID, WA, and OR and 272 Tribal nations), including those from state, local and Tribal health departments and partner organizations, to attend.
Registration for this year’s conference is complimentary, but capacity is limited. We will prioritize attendees who are willing to share their work through oral and poster presentations.
Please apply to attend the conference by May 31, 2025. We will follow up with additional information about attendance decisions and conference logistics in June.
