The Northwest Center for Evidence-Based Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response offers several ways to engage with and help to inform our work.
We are actively recruiting for Communities of Practice aligned with each of the Center’s three primary focus areas, which were co-identified during a year-long planning process with regional public health, healthcare, Tribal, community and other response partners:
- Communications
- Workforce capacity and leadership
- Assessing and addressing current capabilities and future hazards
We hope for many perspectives across Region 10 to contribute to the success of this Center, so we are seeking PHEPR experts and practitioners at any career stage from Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and the 272 Tribal Nations in Region 10 to join these Communities. We invite you to complete this interest form and share your expertise in one of these focus areas. Communities of Practice will meet virtually approximately four times over an 18-month period, and will be responsible for guiding the Center’s work to support evidence-based practice in this focus area. Join Region 10 colleagues at the NWPHEPR inaugural conference on September 9 and 10, 2025 to help inform the regional center’s future work through an interactive workshop. Please visit the conference webpage to learn more and register.
